Mark Haysman

Mark Joined TMO as a Director in January 2014 with excess of 8 years experience within the traffic management industry, having come from a commercial background. Throughout his career he has been involved in a high profile projects ranging in budgetary value, traffic management type and complexities.

As an owner and shareholder Mark is involved in the day to day running of the business and is responsible with the rest of the board on the companies strategic decisions and direction.

Mark was responsible for the development and establishment of the TMO Business Hub, bringing all the key departments of the business together in one centralized location. This allowed our commercial, planning, design, operations and finance teams all to be housed under one location on the Diss Business Park in Norfolk. This has seen significant efficiency savings and improvements within the business communication and operations.

Mark heads the companies Health & Safety and has developed our Safety First culture.Recognition from TMO's recent certification and accreditation onto the Safe Contractors and CHAS database.

'We work in an environment that sees our workforce face risks on a daily basis, our service can see our people on roads with speed limits of up to 70mph. It is our responsibility to ensure our people have the qualification based competency, the skill and experience to assess the risks, enabling them to make the right decision, TMO is committed to a Safety First policy. Traffic management often is the last consideration or used as a ticking exercise on a construction or highway based project, I really want to change that thought process within our industry, we are not only protecting the lives of our people but those of our clients people, the users of the highway, and pedestrians. So as a business we have a huge responsibility. By consulting with us at an early stage, we can review the project from a safety and commercial perspective'.

Mark has helped to develop the IT infrastructure and internal systems within TMO. Our long term goal of the business to be paperless by the end of 2019, the company is a already a significant way towards this goal, with 2 phases already implemented seeing a 46% reduction in paper consumption year on year. Being a technology geek, Mark has been instrumental in developing our services through technology enhancement and innovation.

'Our system is intelligent, innovative in its construction but simplistic in its user interface. We allow complete transparency, giving our clients access to real time information, the ability to add jobs, review communication, download documents including site photographs, drawings, authority applications. I am committed to offering added value to the services, these will and have already evolved with the changing needs of our clients'.

Mark leads our business in the development of customer relations, both new and existing, he has been the driving force, establishing long term business opportunities and partnerships.

Mark has recently obtained his Mental Health First Aider qualification and is one of four members of staff there to help the workers.

Outside of work Mark is a keen carp angler and frequents the bank in search of his target, he is a member of a number of syndicates in and around the Norfolk and Suffolk area. His UK personal best is 38lb 6oz a stunning common carp. He has recently attained his SMSTS qualification, and in August sitting his IOSH Safety For Executives & Directors.
